Welcome to Broomstick Estate, a grower of premium wine grapes.
Broomstick Estate is a small family owned vineyard estate located near Witchcliffe, approximately 300 kilometres south west of Perth, in the Margaret River region of Western Australia.
The vineyard covers approximately 40 acres of red and white wine grapes (Shiraz, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc).
The area is regarded as one of the world's premium grape growing regions because the grape vines are caressed by the winds from the Southern Ocean with the warming influence of the Indian Ocean to the north and west during the dry summer growing months. The climate is typically Mediterranean with cool, wet winters followed by warm, dry summers. The gravely loam soils are particularly suited to growing wine grapes as noted by Dr John Gladstones, the father of the Western Australian wine industry, in the early 1960's.
The vineyard is situated on a north facing slope to maximise sun exposure and irrigated from a large water reservoir fed by rains, uncontaminated by any industry pollution. We are a "clean and green" vineyard.
Broomstick Estate produces an award winning premium Shiraz wine for sale to the public. Our philosophy is simply to make the best Shiraz possible and ignore the market price points and demographics that wine marketers talk about.
